Our Mission Statement:

Colbert Veterinary Services, Inc believes that pets and people enhance each other's lives.  We believe in responsible pet care which includes spaying/neutering, vaccinating, micro-chipping, and finding appropriate, permanent homes for abandoned or neglected dogs and cats. While they are in our care, we provide veterinary care as well as pet socialization and training.  We sponsor public education programs about pet care and pet abuse.  We hold pet adoption events and assist other rescue organizations in caring for and placing dogs and cats.  We believe in community and communication to make life better for all.

“I would like to thank you Dr. Andrews and you devoted staff for all that you do and also to "TAILS". My heart breaks at the thought of what you must see with regards to the condition or situation when a "newcomer" is brought in!! God BLESS you all and THANK YOU so much for the LOVE OF MY LIFE, WENDALL and all the love, joy, comfort, loyalty and commitment that he shows to me. I hope your heart swells with pride and satisfaction as you view the pictures and it was YOU who brought this love to my life!!!”

"Continued breeding of dogs and cats, while at the same time euthanizing millions to control the excess, and the surrender of millions acquired as life-long companions is morally reprehensible... Continued commitment is required to achieve a humane society in which euthanasia is no longer a tool for population control. Veterinarians, whether employed by shelters or working in private practice, have a vital role to play in achieving this goal."

"Shelter Medicine for Veterinarians and Staff"

"I have never adopted a pet from Colbert Veterinary Rescue before but I have used their services for our existing furry family members. When you visit Colbert Animal Hopsital you automatically feel the love the staff has for the animals. My entire family has volunteered at the clinic in one form or another because we know that by helping Ms. Gloria is really helping the animals. I have personally witnessed Ms. Gloria take a dog that was injured, perform the necessary surgery knowing the pet owners may not have the money for the procedure. Colbert Animal Hospital is not about the owners or the money..it's about the animals."
